Q. How much will it cost to hire a caregiver?
A. The current rate in Ontario is $10.00 per hour for a minimum of 30 hours per week. This monthly net pay can range from 1000-1300 monthly. The calculations are made by assumption using the Live-In Caregiver government regulations. After 44 hours of work your caregiver is to be compensated at a rate of 1.5 times the hourly wage. As an employer you are required to make monthly remittances on behalf of your caregiver, as well as provide her a T4 at the end of the year. A. Just recently Service Canada has declared that people desiring to employ a foreign caregiver have to meet the identical minimum advertising requirements such as those on the National Occupational Classification system. This applies to caregivers who live in Canada and Overseas and who are not permanent residents. The reason for this change is that Canada would like to ensure Canadians are able to apply for these vacant caregiving opportunities. Thus, the employers are obliged to place an ad in the government Job Bank site as well as on one more place( you can place this on our site). The first name and the phone number of the employer must be on the ad. In order to place an ad in the job bank, the employer must have the BN (Payroll Business Number). Q. What if I hire a Caregiver and it doesn't work out?

Q. What requirements do the Nannies need?
A. Each Caregiver must meet the following criteria before registering with us: -Twelve months of experience in paid employment as a child Caregiver and/or elderly Caregiver within the past three years -Fluency in English -Completion of the equivalent to a Canadian high school education -18 years of age or older -No Criminal Record -Excellent health (must pass a full medical exam) -Each candidate provides a detailed application form, including personal information, proof of education and work experience along with the references that they have worked for.
Q. How long will it take to for my caregiver to arrive and be able to work?
A. It can range anywhere from approximately 4-6 months. Your caregiver will arrive with all of the required paperwork so that they can start work with you immediately. There is no waiting once they arrive in Canada.
